Although I missed the mountain and road bikes as well as the scooter races, I did get to see the fixed gear, pit bike and moped races. All the proceeds from this event went towards the Detroit parks and rec department and to the maintenance of the Velodrome. I have to say again, this event was a blast, once word gets out it will only get better. Here are a few shots I managed to snap off.
There was one female competitor, although she was more about the spirit of the event and not the actual competition. For a video of the whole event compressed into seven and a half minutes click here.
Till Next Time..............

WOOHOO!
Deep down, I'm still 15 years old.
I'm right there with ya.
That looks like a blast. That female competitor? She definitely shows her spirit.
Next year the events should only get better. She definitely got everybody's spirit up.
Love the little CT70. That was my first motorcycle, and the exact same metallic (electric) blue. Should find one and restore it... one of these days.
BTW, as a cyclist (yes, the kind you pedal - CAT3 racer), I really, really appreciate the pic of the female cyclist, and the fact that she's wearing a helmet. Safety is so important :o)

Hi Luis,
Had a red ct myself, got a ton of use out of that bike. There are a ton of them for sale on craigs list and I'm always checking them out. I'll probably pick one up some day, just haven't found the right one I guess.
One can never be too safe.
