Oh, By The Way Which Ones Pink

I was listening to a little Pink Floyd and it got me to browsing and I came across this interesting piece of artwork by Storm Thorgerson. Seeing that I really like Pink Floyd and I'm really fond of nekked ladies, what could be better than combining the two. The original album artwork by Storm painted on six lovely backsides to create the Back Catalogue poster. Enjoy all you lovers of fine art.

Mini Bike Drag Racing

My buddy Big Toe loves drag racing. So much so, he will line up against almost anything and give it a go. He has spent the better part of his life building drag bikes and cars. So it was no surprise to me when he told me recently he was building a minibike drag bike. Next thing I know he is sending me pics of his new project and is all jacked up about it. Big Toe is a very talented fabricator and has a truck load of enthusiasm about the projects he builds. So when he starts a new one, there is much fanfare.
He ran out to Harbor Freight and picked up this Chinese 6.5 hp Honda clone. He says when he's done, it'll be putting out eighteen to twenty horses. (I just said putting out) He has already whipped up a billet intake runner and air box for it, and will soon be turning his attention to it's innards. As you can see, he has got down to the business of fabricating the chassis for it. With his talent for making things out of metal, he had the chassis done in about the same time as it takes me to change a pair of shocks on one of my projects. He's been working on this thing for a week and has made more progress than I have in the last six months. He tells me when this thing is done he will be able to do eighty or better in the 1/8 mile. I think that is pretty damn quick for a bike that he put together on a whim. I can't wait to put a leg over her and see what she has to offer. I used to have a blast on my old Wild Cat when I was a kid. I have to admit I had a couple hair raising tank slappers on the old girl. I just hope Big Toes creation doesn't have the same stability problems. I'm sure he has all the angles worked out, but it's hard to get those old white knuckle images outta my head. He's gone a long way in a short period of time, so I am confident this bike will be pounding pavement in short order. I'm looking forward to adding a couple more grey hairs to my collection.

Really

We're not fat enough already, we need something to do our walking for us. I have to admit, it is a pretty nice piece of engineering though.

It's Not Too Bad

On a bike, as long as it's not windy and the outside lanes are open.
