You’ve Got to be Kidding Me

Now I Have heard just about everything, but this new product just about takes the cake. I have heard all the usual warnings about the dangers of riding motorcycles. From everyone that has a friend or relative that has been killed or injured by just looking and thinking about riding a motorcycle, to being called a organ Donar by a local law enforcement official.

But now I can add cancer to that ever growing list of worries. There is a guy out there who has written an book to promote his invention of a shielded motorcycle seat to keep your bits and pieces from becoming a slow cooked blue plate special. Man, if I don’t have enough to worry about as it is. Ths guy comes along and is telling us all that it isn’t the cell phone talking, SUV wielding, whopper eating, makeup applying driver we have to look out for. No, no, nooo, it is that we have been micro waving our genitalia and if we don’t do something fast like buy his book and seat we are all on a rocket sled to chemotherapy.
Now I guess a new never ending debate about motorcycle emf’s and their fricasseeing of our nether regions is just around the corner. What will they come up with next, I for one can hardly wait to see.

Till Next Time..................

I dunno, for those of us in the desert, that just looks like a good way to make sure the boys get pan-fried in the summer....

We should not dismiss the information presented in the motorcyclecancer site. Page 2 provides facts that definitely raise concern. Excessive ELF EMF magnetic fields penetrating the groin and torso is a serious issue. The detrimental melatonin implications alone are alarming.

Unfortunately, conventional metals cannot achieve substantial shielding from these cancer controversial forces. To quote the site:

ELF EMF’s possess different characteristics and properties than higher EM frequencies. For example, both the electric and magnetic field components become more distinguishable, detectable and each component is suspect of health adversity for various close exposures.

In comparison to wireless EM radiation, many believe that electromagnetic fields, involving extremely low frequencies, are even more devastating on the human body. For example, when EM high frequencies encounter a barrier of conventional metal, such as lead or steel, they experience signal bounce with very minimal surface penetration if any at all. However, when the magnetic fields of ELF EMF’s encounter the same metal barrier they penetrate right through it. One can imagine how vulnerable our bodies are to these forces.

People should not have to gamble with their health because they love riding motorcycles.

The goal is to encourage the motorcycle industry to keep riders safer.

While there may be some reason for concern to some, every time you turn around there is someone telling you that you should be worried about something or other. Everywhere you go in your day to day life you are being bombarded by EMF’S be it from the house hold wiring or the vast array of electrical appliances one utilizes throughout ones everyday life.

You are taking a gamble with your health every time you ride your bike. Myself I really don't care if there is a remote risk of cancer from the EMF's my bikes electrical system is generating. Everything I do gives me cancer, walking in the sun, drinking coffee, breathing air, watching tv, etc, etc, etc.

Bottom line is, I really don't care for companies who use scare tactics to sell their products. And that very tactic is what makes me wary of it in the first place.

So while I continue to not worry myself about rouge asteroids, terrorist, global warming and any other risk that so called experts say I should be worried about. I’m adding motorcycle EMF’s to the list of things I won’t be wringing my hands in anxiety over.
